The generation of ‘80, the grandchildren of ’27
The generation of ‘27, the one from which our current art still drinks, its lyrics, its aesthetics, its nostalgia… are the starting point for an innovative thematic development of flamenco created by our contemporaries and which we relate on stage to the greatest inspirers of the generation of ’27 (such as Dalí, la Argentinita, Lorca, Sánchez Mejías, Manuel de Falla…), through their relationship with the flamenco of the time.
This intergenerational tribute comes, through the different arts, to stages that will come to life thanks to new technologies and the interpretations of some of today’s most fruitful artists. Among them, Rubén Olmo (director of the Ballet Flamenco Andaluz), Andrés Marín and Chevi Muraday (National Dance Prize 2006).
We want to evoke that flamenco of reference artists and the artistic period they lived through and do it hand in hand with our colleagues. We want to let ourselves be infected by the most avant-garde impulses of that unrepeatable generation and bring them to life through a drawing, an image, a few verses…
The most eternal artistic past will be revived on a stage that we hope will not leave our audience unmoved.
